Bethany Scott, R.N and Certified Birth Doula

For the last 10 years, I have dedicated my career to helping women and families happily, safely and warmly through the experience of birth. After graduating from Colorado State with a Bachelor of Science, I soon found my true calling in women's health and became a certified birth doula though DONA international.

After guiding and supporting dozens of women through their natural child birth experiences as a Doula,  I elected to pursue a nursing license through a degree at Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing.  As a Registered Nurse, I began my career in a women's-health focused private practice before moving to the Obstetrics Ward at New York Presbyterian Downtown.

Throughout my 10 year career in nursing and birth care, I have triaged thousands of a patients questions and assisted in the delivery of dozens of happy, healthy babies. From these experiences I've developed a comprehensive understanding of the medical, emotional and personal factors that go into a smooth and healthy birth process and, this real-world experience provides the foundation for all of Lemontree's birth education courses.

I stated Lemontree to provide an approachable, comprehensive but concise answer to the often overwhelming and confusing experience of child birth.  Having lived through child birth as both an expectant mother and a part of the medical community, I get how scary and unnerving this time in your life can be.  It would be my honor to help you and your family navigate this incredibly exciting time as your guide, teacher and confidant.

Lemontrees have long  been revered for their medicinal qualities and have been know as the donor of the immortality in certain mythologies. The name Lemontree is a nod to what I hope to bring to you and your family, at least in spirit:)
